Adapting to the no back to school life
Most of you know I recently graduated from school as a nurse, passed my boards and now I am in the rough job market as a new grad looking for a job where everyone wants you to have experience.
About two weeks ago, most schools including my former college resumed their classes and it will be another 16 long weeks journey for the students. For me, it is much different from what it has been for a couple back. Since I won’t be returning to school this semester, I will enjoy a lot of freedom from assignments, deadlines, long paperwork, presentations and the mighty weekly examinations. I will also enjoy spending more time with my wife and also will get to do some of the fun stuff I like doing.
Apart from my mind, heart and body happiness, my wallet will also stay happy. Back to school season was very stressful to the bank because of paying tuition, buying books, uniform, lunches, gas to commute to school and hospitals and also taking time off from work to complete school work or study for exams. All this is gone for me and as much as the school added to my debt, I do not regret one bit.
All I have to do now is keep job hunting, enjoy life without back to school worries and repay my school loans and other debts . So far it has been a very sweet life for me.
How did you feel after graduating and you did not have to go back to school again when the semester started ?
